Max Abima Food Explorer

Add Food Explorer to Dr. Max Abima's long list of credentials.  With the ease of one born to fine delectibles, Max lead us to the unassuming doorstep of i Sushi-Teriyaki in DuPont WA.

No, I protested.  I don't eat Sushi, and I eat teriyaki way to often.  But Max would not be deterred, so in we went.  From the moment we entered we were intrigued by the aromas, and  enamored with kindness of the staff,.

Before long Max and I were gazing down into a Chicken Hot Stone Pot. They are not kidding.  The pot is stone, and it is HOT.  It kept the food more than warm for the entire meal. Along side this pleasant mix of 5 vegetables and chicken was a sauce the color of Max.  The flavor was intoxicating.  Our new food friend turned out to be Korean Hot Sauce.  It was so tasty in fact that we returned for a second meal within 3 days with Max's little brother, Virgil.
Now can anyone tell me how to make Korean Hot Sauce?  Mamma pajama, that stuff rocks.

The Case of the Missing Coffee

What happened to my coffee?  Gone again.  And I didn't drink it.  So who did?  Clearly a case for sophisticated intellect to solve.
Normally this would be a job for Dr. Max Abima who can trace his lineage directly back to Sherlock Holmes.  When he puts on his detective hat, scamps head for the hills.

Unforunately.......Max took a three-tiered fall this weekend.  (He'll be fine. More on this later)

With Max busy on the mend, who do we call?
The Kasoogi's of course!  With their scientific minds and innate curiosity they will get to the bottom of this in a jiffy.
They jumped at the opportunity and built a camouflaged stakeout. Here we see them watching, but barely.
They put out of cup of java and waited. Soon the culprits took the bait and made off for parts unknown.  The Kasoogi's pursued and found the pair kicked back in their lair. (It was decaf).
Guilty! But forgiven.

Uglydoll Tags with Max Abima

Max completed stage 2 of the Uglydoll Tag Project. He recruited some other members of the Abima family to the Tag Team.  They were very helpful, usually.

Here's what he used to make it happen.

  • Uglydoll Tags.  Max used the tags from 2 foot and Classic Uglys.
  • Collector Card Wall Display by Collector's Museum. 16 x 20 (Max used two)
  • Wall hanging hardware
  • Hands
  • Virgil, Beamer(in the hat)  and Wee Abima
We found these neat Card Displays for 50% off on sale at 15.00 each.
The frame allows for sliding the individual card holders in and out of the display unit for opening and viewing.

"See what you can do with a pair of hands!" Dr. Max Abima

Edited to add a link to the Wall Unit. You can find them here, and here, but sorry, not on sale.

Abima Takes a Road Trip

Dr. Max Abima and friends took a road trip from the Pacific Northwest, down to LA, and back again.

Below we find him enjoying some fresh air with his good buddy Wade Wage.  Can you guess where?

Dr. Max took time to appreciate the travel methods of Uglys who came before.

Check back soon to see Dr. Max in LA!

Dr. Max Abima Prescription #2

You are who you are. No matter what others may say, celebrate your uniqueness. Hold on to it like a rare treasure and never let it go. If you have four fingers and no thumb , don't hide it. Instead, buy 8 amazing rings. Some of your friends may have two fingers and three eyes. Or one eye! That's ok too. It's what's inside that's important. Treat others with kindness. Keep your teeth clean and your plush free of dust. And be honest. It works for Dr. Max.

Installment #2 in Dr. Max Abima's Prescriptions for a happy life.
