Our Ugly family grew by a few on Christmas. We welcomed Ket at Night, White Flocked Bossy Bear, Roller the Reindeer with eyes closed, and Jrumpy!
I was expecting Jrumpy. He's all I asked for, so I thought for sure he'd come. But Ket at Night was a very very nice surprise.
I have a shelf waiting for Roller where he will stand next to my other two Rollers.
But now that White Bossy. He's no ordinary vinyl. He's demanding a shelf of his own.
Welcome from the Ugly Shire!

Nothing to Fear
This is my newest Sun-Min and David art. It may be small at about the size of a large recipe card, but it is large in every other way.
The cheery pink background draws the eye in from half way across the room. As you get closer, the adorable Babo and Wage are waiting with an important and often overlooked message in todays world: Nothing to Fear.
The result of a close-up encounter with this piece is a lighthearted optimism that is highly contagious. It's already infected a half dozen people! I'll have to look around the edges of the frame for a "happy warning" label.
I don't know if it's a laser print, or what kind of paper it is, or any of the things people will ask me. It came in the little frame and is signed by Sun-Min and David and numbered 1/1. That's the extent of the technical data I have.
Less than five minutes after getting some unexpected Christmas cash I purchased it! Thanks you to all the forces that made this possible: David, Sun-Min, and the generosity of my friends.
It makes an interesting tree-topper. Ice Bat surrendered the space like a gentleman, but he'll be back! He's a natural-born star.

Basheeshee
Big Toe must be thrilled. In January 2011 he will have a brother. Basheeshee!
I see the family resemblance in the nose, but Basheeshee has a nose shape unlike any Uglydoll I've seen. Unique among Uglys.
I love the lines and curves, and the yellow teeth and blue body.
I have to wonder if Basheeshee is also related to Trunko.
Anyone else see it?

Power Mister 12-11-10.....
My eyes are still spinning from the ferocious wave of colors. From his sun-hot feet to his cool blue head, he means business. What business, I don't know. But I can see he's serious, and he has my full attention.
He's coming from Super7 Saturday, December 11th.
You know me and numbers. That's 12-11-10. What a great number! I'm sure there is some deeper meaning there...hum....
It's like a countdown to Power!

Sunny Snowflake
This little girl almost missed the pageant. We could not find her tiara and she didn't want to go without it.
A family effort with the help of our Secret Mission Uglydoll Unit recovered it just in time.
We call her Sunny Snowflake. And today she's the Princess of all Uglydom.
Adopt your own princess here.
Thanks to Chabot for inspiring us with the Uglydoll Supermodel contest.

Babo's Cookie Problem
And I didn't even know Babo had a cookie problem. I'm very intrigued and hope that Santa is reading my blog and will give me a gift certificate to pick this up February 22, 2011. I even like that date 2-22-11. I'm into odd numbers.
This looks like another fuzzy book from Uglydoll, but hard to tell from the photo. If it is, then it's a tactile pleasure with its plush, soft material cover. How many books can you enjoy without having to READ them? Ok. One is Chilly Chilly Ice Bat.
I'm sure these will be widely available, but here's a link to it at Amazon.
Don't worry Babo. Whatever your cookie problem is, we are here to solve it. You can count on us. And we can ALL count on this being a fabulous book full of adorable art, amusing story line, and fun galore. It's the Uglydoll way!

Ollie Ollie Ox
Here's our boy Ollie Ox. Let's hope the food police don't get wind of him.
Ollie is one of our rescue adoptions. He came with his friend, Stan Uglydog who has a rather large head! Pics soon.
Here we see Ollie trying to win the Plumpest Uglydoll Contest administered by our friend Pioneer Uglyworm.

Super Puncher in White
The first time I saw a Super Puncher was in photo of the Uglycon at Stitch in Japan. He was a transparent looking red fellow, though I've never seen one in person. Having not been able to snag one, I'm always on the lookout. Horvath x Gargamel!
Look what I just found! A white somewhat transparent looking Super Puncher! Amazingly, he's available at Super7 online store at retail. Imagine me getting something cool and collectible at retail! He was a mere 20.00 plush shipping. Ha ha, I mean plus shipping. I DO have plush on the brain.
They still have a few! Here's the link to the Puncher.
Or poke around the Gargamel website in Japan.
And the link to the Super7 store.
